Berlenga Grande is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and setting foot on it is the real challenge: landings are capped by the official ICNF island permit (the BerlengaPass), the boat is a separate ticket, and the Atlantic can close the crossing with little warning. On this private day trip we solve everything in one booking. Your driver-guide picks you up at your Lisbon hotel, cruise port or airport and drives you to Peniche. We secure your ICNF island permit and your crossing for the same date, watch the forecast, and rebook or refund cleanly if the sea closes the island.
On Berlenga you walk the trails to the 17th-century Forte de Sao Joao Baptista and the 1840 lighthouse, and swim in clear Atlantic coves like Carreiro do Mosteiro. Choose your boat pack: the island crossing, a glass-bottom tour of sea caves such as Furado Grande and the Gruta Azul, a guided island visit, or a snorkeling session in the reserve. If you are being picked up at the airport, please provide your flight number, arrival time and city of origin, instead of an address. We monitor arrivals and adjust the pick up if your flight is delayed, at no extra cost.
If you are being picked up at the cruise port, please provide the name of your ship and the arrival time. Lisbon has four cruise terminals and ships are sometimes reassigned at short notice, so the ship name allows us to confirm the correct terminal on the day.
If any of these details change before your travel date, please let us know as soon as possible.

- The island has a legal cap of 550 visitors at a time and summer dates sell out weeks ahead, so book early for July and August
