No trip to Campania is complete without a visit to the ancient ruins of Pompeii and this is where you will visit on the way back to Naples. This world-renowned archaeological site is the location of a Roman city buried under the ashes of Mount Vesuvius during the catastrophic eruption of 79 AD. You can choose to explore the ruins independently or inquire about hiring a private guide for an in-depth experience lasting two hours.
You'll discover Ravello, a hidden gem in the mountains that offers spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast. Here, you can admire the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone; two of the most famous historical villas in the area, stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center and discover the architectural treasures of the city. Here we will stop first and allow you to explore the town yourselves.
After Ravello, we will make our way to the town of Amalfi; an ancient maritime republic that boasts a rich historical and artistic heritage. You can visit the majestic Cathedral of St. Andrew, a symbol of the city, and the Paper Museum, where you can discover the local tradition of paper-making. You'll also have some free time to walk along the seafront and savor the typical local cuisine products. You will have time to explore the shops, the Cathedral, cafe's or choose to have a swim in the ocean.
