Adventure into a side of Baja California Sur that few travelers get to experience. As you leave the turquoise blue waters and the white sandy beaches of the coastline, reach to the sky and you will discover a true natural treasure: the San Dionisio Canyon of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. Camp San Dionisio by Panterra is situated on the ancestral lands of one of the oldest cowboy ranches in the area. It is approximately halfway between La Paz and Cabo San Lucas, on the footstep of the Tropic of Cancer. The camp is nestled in the heart of the mountains.
The San Dionisio Canyon in the Sierra de la Laguna mountains is an amazing area for exploring and a stark difference to the desert environment. The educational and cultural adventure offers guests the chance to immerse themselves in traditional Mexican ranchero culture (los vaqueros de las Californias) while enjoying all the rustic comforts of home (including a real bed).

After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel at 9:30 AM and depart for the San Dionisio Canyon in the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. It’s a beautiful two-hour drive from the coast to the mountains! Upon arrival, we will check into the ranch and settle into our glamping-style accommodations. Enjoy lunch before embarking on a tour of the ranch, followed by afternoon activities that are planned for the day. In te evenings you can enjoy some leisure time in the social area, where board games and cards are available for guests to use. Take in the night sky and enjoy world-class stargazing! Ranch Activities include: - organic garden tour and selection for mealtime - nature hikes exploring the flora and fauna - hike the Pericu Trail to cave paintings - saddlery workshop with leather - basketry workshop - feeding and milking farm animals to experience the process of making farm cheese - traditional Mexican cooking experience (classes) - night sky stargazing

Enjoy the morning sounds of the song birds as they bring in the day. Light breakfast, and head off on a morning nature hike on the Pericu Trail to the cave paintings. Upon return, enjoy a full breakfast, swim in the waterhole, and enjoy lunch before packing up and heading back to La Paz. We will once again check into the 7 Crown Hotel for the remaining 3 nights of the trip.

Awaken to the morning sounds of songbirds greeting the day. After a light breakfast, head off on a nature hike along the Pericu Trail to explore the cave paintings. Upon your return, enjoy a full breakfast, finish crafting your leather keepsake, and take one last swim in the waterhole. Savor lunch before packing up and heading back to La Paz. We will return for our final night of the trip at the Hotel Catedral.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast courtesy of the hotel and take a last morning stroll along the Malecon before checking out of the hotel at 12:30 pm. Our driver will return you to the La Paz or Cabo Airport for your flight home or drop you off along the corridor to continue your vacation.
