We provide a three-day trip to Mount Toubkal's peak that includes accomodation. You will have the best chance of reaching the top of North Africa's tallest peak.
Mount Toubkal is a high mountain in southern Morocco. The mountain's highest peak is 4,167 meters above sea level. Mount Toubkal, Africa's highest peak, offers all tourists a difficult job as well as beautiful vistas.
For our private Morocco Atlas mountains treks and Guided Toubkal Excursions we pick you up from any place in Marrakech city: from your local hotel, airport, villa, train station... Let us know details. Thank you.
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech and transport you to the town of Tassa Ouirgane (1300m) in the Ouirgane-Valley, where we will begin our walk to Tizi Oussem (1800m).
Our journey takes us through the Toubkal National Park's juniper and redwood woods, as well as along the magnificent red-soiled Azzaden-Valley. As we emerge from the forest, we are treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, as well as small, isolated hamlets and settlements. In a sanctuary, spend the night on half-board.
Today, after breakfast, we headed out on a somewhat tough trek, twisting up mule trails to the Tizi Aguelzim (3104m), where we stopped for a lunch, then another 3 hours south-east to the Toubkal refuge at 3207m. This is our final stop for the day, where we will eat and stay the night. In the sanctuary, spend the night on full board.
The next morning, start your journey down the slope, passing the Sidi Chamharouch shrine and taking in more calm views of the vast landscape. Your adventure concludes with a smooth journey back to your accommodation in Marrakech.
