    here is where the Congiura dei Pazzi took place: ended on 26 April 1478, it was a conspiracy ordered by the Florentine family of bankers de 'Pazzi with the aim of cutting off the hegemony of the Medici through the support of the papacy and other external subjects, among which the Republic of Siena and the Kingdom of Naples. The conspiracy led to the killing of Giuliano de 'Medici and the wounding of Lorenzo the Magnificent, without however leading to the end of the Medici power over Florence, as it was in the plans.
