A charming village along the fjord with many small farms grazing cows, sheep and goats. The typical wooden church, built in 1917, stands majestically above the fjord and road. Stop for photos at the panoramic viewpoint with stunning views of Storfjord, where the Geirangerfjord begins, and explore the salmon farm and town of Stranda.
Stordal village is the administrative center of the local commune. Soak up the fascinating story of Stordal and enjoy the magnificent views of a cozy valley surrounded by mountains with countless waterfalls and wild rivers flowing into the mouth of Storfjord. The fjord cuts into the coastline, forming a convenient bay for water transport. Stordal had relatively good agricultural land, and the main source of income was animal husbandry. Stordal was also home to furniture manufacturing and continues to operate in this industry to this day. Optional stop for a photo or restroom.

Eidsdal village runs up to the high mountain glacial lake Eidsvatn. We drive a steep mountain road and stop at a charming lake - Eidsvatnet (425 meters above sea level), which is known as a good lake for fishing. This place offers stunning views of endless meadows with farms. Eidsdal is an agricultural village. Most farmers produce milk from cows and goats. There are several camping (glampings), cabins and room rentals available.
Eagle Road This tour is available year-round thanks to the Eagle Road. This is the only road connecting the village of Geiranger overland with the rest of Norway's towns and villages. The steepest section of the road is called Eagle's Flight, as navigating its eleven hairpin bends at 620 meters (2,030 ft) above sea level is a bit like flying through the air. At the topmost bend is the road's most impressive viewpoint, Ørnesvingen, which offers stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord. We will drive along this stunning road twice and you will have the opportunity to fully enjoy the beautiful views.
Geiranger Village We will arrive in the village of Geiranger and you will have free time for a boat tour on the Geirangerfjord. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at the pier.
After lunch at the restaurant of the luxurious Union Hotel, we invite you to take a walk along the waterfall. Enjoy the energy of cascading waterfalls as you descend the stairs into Geirangerfjord.
