As you enter Tridevi Sadak from main road Kantipath, make a left on Amrit Sadak and walk about 110 meters. Make another left at Brahmakumari Marga walk about 65 meters, and make the first right, walk down about 55 meters. Rainbow Safari Tours & Travel Pvt Ltd is next to Hotel Holy Himalaya.
At 7:00 am, we will depart from tourist bus stop at Nayabazar, Kathmandu in a luxury tourist bus. We will arrive at Sauraha bus top at 1:00 pm. Then we will transfer you to your hotel where you can have lunch and freshen up. Next we will pick you at at 2:30 for a cultural tour to Tharu Village in Sauraha.
At 2:30 pm, we will pick you up to visit Tharu Village in Sauraha. A small town located near the National Park, Chitwan Tharu Village is full of traditional Tharu lifestyle and culture, and a popular tourist destination. Tharu community is the dominant population here. Tharu people have a close tie to the surrounding forests and the nature in general. They have vast knowledge of nature and have developed quite sustainable way of farming to live in harmony with the nature.
We will then take you to Chitwan Museum where you will explore more about the wild life of Chitwan National Park, Tharu tradition and in general everything about Chitwan and its surrounding.
You will see the beautiful sunset from the banks of the Rapti River. It is a one of the breathtaking sight to behold during this trip. The sky turns into beautiful colors like orange, pink, purple, and red as the sun sets, reflecting on the water of the Rapti River and making the sunset scene even more stunning. As the sun dips lower, the sky darkens gradually, and the shadows of trees and distant hills become more pronounced. The calm ambiance is magnified by the melodic chirping of birds and the occasional splash of a fish jumping out of the water. This is followed by a delicious traditional Nepali dinner in a restaurant close to the river.
Will pick you up from the hotel at 7:00 am after you finish your breakfast for a canoeing trip along the Rapti River. You will canoe along the river in a small wooden boat operated by an experienced local guide who will provide not only with the interesting insights about ecosystem and wildlife of the park but will also provide you with safety instructions. As you embark on your canoeing adventure, you will see the lush greenery of the park, and may get a chance to encounter varoius species of birdsperches in the riverbanks and two rare species of crocodiles - the Marsh Mugger and Gharial gracefully gliding through the tranquil river. After canoeing, you will continue a walk along the bank of the river to explore more about local flora and fauna with our experienced naturalist.
Chitwan National Park is considered a paradise for nature loves and nature enthusiasts. You will take a Jungle Jeep Safari Ride which is an excellent way to explore the National Park and a great opportunity to see wild lives such as deer, one horned rhinocerous, leopard, sloth bear, and royal Bengal Tiger in their natural habitat. Your local guide will provide you with all safety precautions about the Jeep Safari ride and what to expect during the whole safari. Chitwan National Park boasts more than 700 species of wildlife and over 500 avian species. The conservation efforts carried out here is considered one of the most successful conservation efforts world wide.
Your exciting day will be followed by a traditional Nepali cuisine followed by traditional Tharu stick dance where you will learn some more traditions about Tharu culture. A night filled with warm greetings, smiles, traditional dance and delicious food.
You will take a walk along the bank of the Rapti River with our experienced Naturalist to encounter many species of rare and migratory birds. The park is home to more than 500 avain species. Rapti River is famous for its vibrant Kingfisher population, who are observed perching on branches or diving into the river with an attempt to catch fish. You can see numerous other birds such as Herons, Egrets, River Lawping, Storks, Woodpeckers, Parakeets, Raptors, Plovers, Sandpipers and many more.
You will depart Chitwan for Kathmandu at 9:30 am via a luxury comfortable tourist bus.
