Start the adventure with an early morning flight to Lukla, offering spectacular Himalayan views. After meeting the trekking crew, begin an easy descent through Sherpa villages, mani walls, and prayer wheels along the Dudh Koshi River. Enjoy your first taste of mountain life as you reach Phakding, a small riverside settlement. Overnight at a teahouse.
Today’s trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges draped with colorful prayer flags. Pass through pine forests and traditional villages before entering Sagarmatha National Park. A challenging uphill climb brings you to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital and main trading hub of the Khumbu region. Enjoy the first breathtaking views of Everest. Overnight in Namche
Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Explore Namche’s lively market, local bakeries, and the Sherpa Museum. Take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village for panoramic sights of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. This rest day helps your body adapt and prepares you for higher elevations. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
The trail gently ascends out of Namche with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Walk through forests of rhododendron and pine before descending to the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing a suspension bridge, climb steeply to the spiritual village of Tengboche, home to the region’s largest monastery. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and mountain panoramas. Overnight at Tengboche.
Begin the day with a descent through forests to Debuche, then cross the Imja Khola River. The trail gradually climbs past Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement in the region, offering incredible views of Ama Dablam. Continue through alpine terrain to reach Dingboche, a beautiful valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Rest and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment. Overnight in Dingboche.
Use this second acclimatization day to adjust to the altitude. Take a scenic hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100m) for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Island Peak. Return to Dingboche for lunch and relax amid the tranquil landscape. This rest day strengthens your body for higher climbs ahead. Explore the village or visit local lodges in the afternoon. Overnight in Dingboche.
The trail climbs steadily through a rocky landscape with sparse vegetation. Pass the village of Dughla, then ascend the memorial ridge honoring climbers who lost their lives on Everest. Continue along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche, surrounded by towering peaks. The temperature drops noticeably here, reminding you that you’re close to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Lobuche.
Begin with a gradual trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Base Camp. After lunch, hike across rocky terrain and glacier moraines to reach the legendary Everest Base Camp. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks. Capture unforgettable memories before returning to Gorak Shep for the night. Overnight at a teahouse in Gorak Shep
Start early for a steep climb to Kala Patthar, the best vantage point for sunrise views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants. After soaking in the beauty, descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast, then retrace your steps down the valley to Pheriche. The descent feels easier with lower altitude and warmer air. Overnight in Pheriche.
Follow the familiar trail back through Pangboche and Tengboche, enjoying new perspectives of the mountains. Descend through forests alive with birds and cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Arrive in Namche Bazaar by afternoon and celebrate your successful journey with fellow trekkers. Enjoy a hot shower, good food, and a relaxing evening. Overnight in Namche.
Today’s final trekking day takes you downhill through pine forests and across high suspension bridges, retracing your steps to Lukla. Reflect on the incredible journey and the people you’ve met along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy a well-deserved rest and a farewell celebration with your trekking team. Overnight in Lukla before your return flight to Kathmandu.
After an early breakfast, take a scenic morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, enjoying one last view of the majestic Himalayas. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for a well-deserved rest. Spend the day relaxing, exploring local markets, or enjoying some souvenir shopping. In the evening, you may join a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of your Everest Base Camp adventure.
This extra day is kept as a buffer in case of flight delays or cancellations between Lukla and Kathmandu, which can occur due to unpredictable mountain weather. If your flight operates as scheduled, you can spend the day exploring Kathmandu’s cultural highlights—visit heritage sites like Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, or Pashupatinath—or simply relax at your hotel and enjoy some souvenir shopping before your departure.
Today marks the end of your unforgettable Everest Base Camp adventure. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for your onward flight.
