Boost your day with a tasty breakfast at the Zurich hotel, and get ready for check-out at 09:00. After being greeted by your driver at the lobby, we will head to explore Zurich city during a 2-hour walking tour.
Expect to have a very warm welcome to Switzerland right from the airport. Your local driver will greet you at the arrival hall of Zurich Airport, lead you to your comfortable seat in a business-type car or a minivan, and enjoy a smooth ride to the hotel. The Lion Monument is a proud landmark of Lucerne and a popular attraction. The “Lion of Lucerne” lies in his lair in one of the idyllic parks in the center of the city.
Get immersed in Bern's tourist attractions and impressed by the city's landmarks and hidden treasures during a 2-hour walking tour with a local guide. We will cover the main sights as the Holy Ghost Church, a stroll through Spitalgasse street and Barenplatz, and witness the Government Palace and the central masterpiece of Bern - the Clock Tower.
The 18th-century Holy Ghost Church stands on the site occupied by its predecessor, which was commonly called the "Spitalkirche," or Hospital Church. Constructed in the 13th century, the former church was operated by a monastery that cared for Bern's poor and sick in a nearby infirmary and pauper's home.
The charming tunic, number, clock face and astronomical clock, which was completed only in 1530, was astonished at the height of the 13th century's mechanical craftsmanship in Switzerland, known as the Kingdom of Clocks.
Another Swiss discovery day full of adventures is prepared for you. Starting at 09:00, following your breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Grindelwald. Grindelwald is among the famous Swiss ski destinations, a charming town at the foot of the Eiger and Wetterhorn mountains. Stroll in this beautiful village while inhaling its fresh air in a very relaxing atmosphere
OPTIONAL - The Eiger Express tricable gondola will take you from Grindelwald to the Eiger Glacier station in 15 minutes. You will be on the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and the slopes 47 minutes faster than the regular train journey. It is a panoramic cable car ride for 15 minutes, plus a train ride for 18 minutes so that you will enjoy more time on the top. Jungfraujoch is the highest railway station in Europe, and UNESCO lists it as a "World Heritage Site." Upon arrival at the top, numerous activities will await you, such as the Alpine sensation Ice Place, which includes several sculptures. The Sphinx Observation Deck with spectacular mountain views, a Lindt shop, and restaurants, among other entertainment opportunities.
OPTIONAL - After spending some leisure time between 3-4 hours, you will descend back from Jungfraujoch by train for around 1.20 hours. It will take you to Wengen - the car-free resort in the heart of Bernese Oberland. It lies at the foot of Jungfrau at an altitude of 1274 meters. You may get off the train to explore Wengen for a while, or choose the stay option and continue to Lauterbrunnen.
Get your shuttle to reach Lauterbrunnen - a small Swiss village with the finest scenery one can expect to see. The town offers mountain peaks with 72 breathtaking waterfalls and fresh Alpine meadows. After your exploration of Lauterbrunnen, you will take the train back for 30 minutes to your hotel in Bern and rest for the next adventurous day.
Gruyères - a medieval and picturesque town. The real homeland for Swiss cheese and chocolate welcomes you during visits to La Maison du Gruyère & Maison Cailler. Admire the charming town of Gruyères as you stroll and visit its 13th-century castle. We do not forget to mention that a lunch break can be in one of Gruyeres' rustic chalet-style restaurants for a tasty Swiss Fondue. Visit to Nestlé Cailler chocolate factory with a degustation.
After days filled with exciting explorations, today is your opportunity to enjoy some leisure time in the picturesque city of Bern. As Switzerland’s capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Bern offers a perfect blend of historical charm and modern Swiss culture. Spend your day at your own pace, discovering the many hidden gems the city has to offer. You can also visit the Bern Historical Museum, the second-largest museum in Switzerland, which houses exhibits spanning from prehistoric times to modern Swiss history. If you’re in the mood for shopping, Bern’s arcaded streets offer endless opportunities for boutique shopping, local crafts, and Swiss souvenirs. After a day of exploration, we’ll reconvene in the late afternoon for a scenic transfer back to Zurich. Upon arrival, you’ll be free to relax and unwind in your hotel, making the most of your final evening in Switzerland.
