What to expect

Discover Rica’s waters with our ISA & Lifeguard certified instructors, who are passionate locals with extensive ocean knowledge. Each lesson begins with beach drills covering the fundamentals of surfing, emphasizing safety. After an introduction, you’ll receive a surfboard and rash guard if needed.

The lesson is divided into three segments. The first is beach drills, where you'll learn essential paddling and popping up techniques. The second segment takes you into shoulder-deep water, where you’ll practice those maneuvers with your instructor’s guidance, experiencing the thrill of your first ride.

After a break with complimentary refreshments, the final segment will be customized based on your skill level. Depending on your readiness, your instructor may help you practice closer to shore or guide you to catch a wave in deeper water. Enjoy this memorable adventure on the waves of Costa Rica!
