Learn traditional styles of Vietnamese painting with tips on painting techniques provided by a talented local artist. We will show you how traditional oriental watercolor painting differs from western style art and In this Experience, you will learn calligraphy in Vietnamese Language and/or English also.
After paiting class finished we will take a rest and tasting our tea then go ahead to Lantern Making Class.
We provide the bamboo that forms the base of your frame; you do the rest. Your instructor will show you how to make your lantern from the first to the last step and how to make your own Hoi An lantern. We provide beautiful silk so that you can choose your own color pattern, and design.
Once completed, these lanterns are easy to fold, carry, or put in your luggage. Take an original, enjoyable, hand-made souvenir home from your visit to Hoi An.

What to expect
- The class starts with a very relaxing time by enjoy our special herbal tea and our traditional music.
- Listen to your host they will show you about the history of Hoi An bamboo silk lantern and the traditional calligraphy of Vietnam.
- You will make the lanterns with the shapes you love because we have many type of shapes like diamond, garlic, lotus flowers or ufo shape.
- After you made the lantern finished, we will take a rest and watching to our art gallery part to choose the sample you want to paint on your lantern.
- Learning how to paint on the silk fabric is a very special experience with our talented master.
- After you painting on your lantern we will make it dry then light lit up and take some photos to save our special memories with your host and the master.
- the lanterns you made are foldable and easy to put in your bag to bring home.
