    Ha Giang – Quan Ba Heaven’ Gate – Tham Ma Pass - H'Mong King Palace – Dong Van Ancient Town

    08:30 – Meet your tour guide and begin the Ha Giang Loop. If you choose to ride the motorbike yourself, a brief safety and riding lesson will be provided. After that, you’ll follow the tour guide and stick to the planned itinerary throughout the journey.

    Quan Ba Heaven Gate

    Quan Ba Heaven Gate is a scenic viewpoint in Ha Giang province, offering stunning views of mountains, valleys, and local villages. One highlight here is the Twin Mountains, also known as the Fairy Breast Mountains — two rounded hills shaped like a pair of breasts. According to legend, they were formed by a fairy who fell in love with a Hmong man. We’ll stop here for about 20–30 minutes to enjoy the view and take photos.

    The Tham Ma pass is about 5 km long at an altitude of 1500 meters and has a sharp zigzagging road. There is a checkpoint at the top of the pass where you can take pictures of the winding s-shaped road up. Children of ethnic minorities often walk around here with flowers. We will stop at the checkpoint about 20-30 minutes

    The Hmong king palace was the residence of two Hmong kings, Vuong Chinh Duc and Vuong Chi Sinh, who ruled the mountainous region of Ha Giang province from the late 19th to the mid-20th century. The palace was built in 1902-1907 with a mix of Hmong, French and Chinese architectural styles. It has 64 rooms, divided into three zones, and a stone wall for protection. The palace is located in Sa Phin valley, surrounded by mountains and fields. It is a national relic and a tourist attraction in Ha Giang province. We will stop here for about 1 hour.

    After a full day of riding, you’ll stay in Dong Van Ancient Town, known for its old houses, mountain views, and lively atmosphere. The town offers cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops to explore. Dinner is served between 18:00 and 19:00, with options like chicken hotpot or rice with meat, eggs, and vegetables. Vegetarian meals are available upon request. After dinner, you’re free to relax or explore the town at your own pace.

    Dong Van Town - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Nho Que River - Du Gia Village

    Ma Pi Leng Pass

    Ma Pi Leng Pass is one of the most iconic and challenging mountain passes in Vietnam, known for its sharp curves and steep cliffs. Stretching about 20 km at an altitude of 1,200–1,400 meters, it offers stunning views of the Nho Que River and Tu San Canyon — the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. As part of the UNESCO Global Geopark, the pass features unique rock formations and reflects the cultural heritage of local ethnic communities. It’s a must-see for adventure seekers and nature lovers. We’ll stop at several viewpoints along the way to rest and enjoy the scenery, with a break of about 30–45 minutes.

    The Nho Que River flows through both Vietnam and China, passing through Ha Giang Province. It offers breathtaking views of Tu San Canyon — the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia — and runs beneath the dramatic Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most famous mountain roads. This river is a favorite spot for nature and adventure lovers. On the tour, we’ll take a boat trip along the Nho Que to admire the stunning landscape. The entire experience takes around 2 hours, including both the boat ride and the short climb back up the mountain.

    The road from Mau Due to Ha Giang is a scenic and adventurous part of the Ha Giang Loop. It winds through remote villages, rice fields, and dramatic mountain landscapes, offering a glimpse into authentic, non-touristy areas of northern Vietnam. Though beautiful, the road is known for its rugged and bumpy terrain. Some sections are unpaved and can be slippery, especially in the rainy season. It requires careful driving and a reliable motorbike. For those seeking adventure, this route offers rewarding views and unforgettable moments.

    Du Gia

    Du Gia village is a beautiful and peaceful place in Ha Giang province, located in the middle of Du Gia national park. It is not as popular as other destinations in Ha Giang, such as Dong Van, Meo Vac, or Lung Cu, but it has its own charm and attractions. Du Gia village is home to 14 villages and 9 different ethnic minority groups, such as the Tay, the Hmong, and the Lo Lo. They have their own unique traditions, costumes, and languages. You can visit the Du Gia waterfall, which is only 5 km from the main town. It is a refreshing and scenic spot where you can swim, jump off rocks, or just enjoy the view. You will see stunning landscapes of mountains, rice fields, and traditional wooden houses.

    Lung Tam weaving village is a place where you can witness the traditional Hmong linen weaving process, which has been passed down for generations. Lung Tam village is located at the foot of a high mountain in Lung Tam commune, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province. It is home to about 130 Hmong households, who cultivate hemp and make various products from linen, such as clothes, bags, scarves, and blankets. The Hmong linen weaving process is very intricate and laborious, involving 41 steps from planting hemp to dyeing and embroidering the fabric. The Hmong people use natural materials and by-hand techniques to create their unique and colorful patterns, which reflect their culture and identity.
