    Shaolin Temple-Pagoda Forest- Mt.Song

    Monastero Shaolin (Shaolin Temple)

    Meet your private guide and driver at your downtown hotel in Luoyang and transferred by an air-conditioned and comfort private vehicle to Shaolin Temple (about 1.5 hours driving), which locates in Dengfeng County, Henan province. It was originally built in 495 in the Northern Wei Dynasty (368-534), reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. Accompanied by your tour guide, you will first visit Shanmen Hall, Hall of Heavenly Kings and Thousand-Buddha Hall.

    Pagoda Forest of Shaolin Temple

    Followed by the Pagoda Forest at Shaolin Temple, the most interesting part of the whole complex. It refers to the 228 stone or brick pagodas built from 791 AD during the Tang Dynasty through the Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty.

    Then you will take a cable car to Mt.Song accompanied by your tour guide. It still takes about 2 hours if you want to reach to the top temple: Sanhuang Village Resort after the cable car arrives. So this part is an option for you. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Luoyang.

    Longmen Grottoes

    Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and head to Longmen Grottoes, which was built from A.D 493, one of the famous three grottoes in China.There are over 2,300 holes and niches, 2,800 steles, 40 dagobas, 1,300 caves and 100,000 statues in this Grotto. Accompanied by your private guide to explore this Heritage UNESCO Site.

    White Horse Temple

    After enjoy a local lunch, continue to White Horse Temple, the birthplace of Buddhism in China, having been first established in 68 AD under the patronage of Emperor Ming in the Eastern Han dynasty.The site also includes exquisite examples of Thai, Burmese and Indian temples. After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel or drop you off at the Luoyang Ancient Cultural Street, you can enjoy your time on your own there.
