    Beijing Railway Station

    In the morning, your driver will meet you in your hotel lobby or your apartment in Beijing and then head to the Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station to catch the train to Chengde. It takes about 1 hour by bullet train from Beijing to Chengde.

    Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at Chengde Railway station (exit with your name sign). Then take your private vehicle, head up to the UNESCO-listed Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort, was chosen by the Qing emperor Kangxi in 1703 as a means of eluding the hot summers in the Forbidden City. This gloriously landscaped summer palace took almost a century to complete and was home to Qing Dynasty emperors, eunuchs, courtiers, and concubines during Beijing's scorching summer months for many years. Your private guide will accompany you wander around. In addition to the interesting history, you will also be attracted by its beautiful scenery.

    After a local lunch, continue to the small Potala Palace, which is called Putuozongcheng Miao, built between 1767 and 1771 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735–1796) to resemble the Potala Palace in Lhasa. It is the largest Temple of the Eight Outer Temples in Chengde.

    After a whole day tour, your driver and guide will drop you off at Chengde Railway Station and your will take the bullet train back to Beijing. Upon arrival, driver will wait for you at Beijing railway station and transfer back to your hotel.
