    Begin the tour after meeting your guide at the fortress Shaniwarwada, the seat of the Peshwa rulers of Pune or at hotel lobby (depending on the option chosen) . At Shaniwarwada, the guide will introduce you to the history of the city and the way of life under the Maratha Empire. After a brief orientation, walk through the city to visit several places of historical and cultural significance.

Kasba Peth was the first Peth to be established sometime during the 5th century, and is the oldest area in Pune. It is called the "Heart of Pune City". Lal Mahal, the site where Chhatrapati Shivaji lived.
