Escape the bustle of Hanoi and step into a slower, more scenic Vietnam with this unforgettable day trip. Cycle through peaceful villages, emerald rice fields, and limestone landscapes to Tam Coc—often called the "Inland Ha Long Bay." After a local lunch, drift along the Ngo Dong River by sampan, gliding through hidden caves and karst cliffs. With its perfect mix of history, nature, and culture, this day tour is ideal for travelers seeking both adventure and serenity.
We will pick you up at the arrival hall. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign with the lead travelers name.
In the morning, we’ll transfer out of Hanoi to Hoa Lu (2.5 hrs). Then, we’ll visit the historic capital of Vietnam and the famous ancient temples of the Le and The Dinh Dynasties. And please remember that our tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Afterward, we’ll cycle on picturesque, quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops to Tam Coc for lunch. After lunch, we’ll take country roads until we hit Sunny Wharf, a small dock, to board a sampan boat for a journey in the heart of “Inland Ha Long Bay”. The short boat ride will take us along the Ngo Dong River through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers. The route includes floating through three natural caves (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. We’ll stop for a short rest near a small shrine before returning to the boat to make our way back to the dock. Then, we’ll cycle back to Tam Coc village and board the bus back to Hanoi. End of tour and welcome back.
