Feel Luxuriousness in the unique Glamping Site. Acatenango is the region’s third highest peak and will be the home for one night, the perfect place to witness life in its brightest splendor.
Set next to the Fire Volcano (Volcán de Fuego), one of the three active volcanoes in Guatemala, famous for its lava eruptions that can be seen from Glamping Site.Andrea Cardona as many other experienced hikers agree that enjoying sunrise above Acatenango summit it is exceptional, making you feel above the clouds like in heaven.
Volcan de Fuego is known to be the world’s most consistently erupting volcano. Its eruptions can be viewed from the distance when driving to the starting point from Antigua and like clockwork every 15 minutes you can view the smoke bellowing out of the top.
As you ascend, experience microclimate variations crossing through a diverse ecosystem, make sure that when you listen to your inner voice, it is motivating in the middle of the physical challenge.

Group transportation pick up at 08:30 A.M. from Antigua Guatemala. Depending on the amount of travelers vehicle assigned could be a County bus (25 passengers) or Hiace van (12 passengers). From Antigua this is an hour and a half drive to Miratenango viewpoint, we save 1.5 hours from hiking time experience compare to the regular trekking time.

Begin the hike at 11:00 AM with a lunch stop mid-way. Upon arrival to Glamping site 03:30 PM delight a revitalizing noodle soup. The strenuous noise of Fuego Volcano eruptions and sparkling stars that light up the sky will enchant you with ecstatic. Relax at the chilling areas and campfire with hot chocolate, coffee and roast marshmallows.

Wake up 03:30 AM for the sunrise summit hike, reaching the top enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Antigua Valley, Pacific Coast, and Ring of Fire. Return to basecamp for coffee and oatmeal Afterward, descend about 4 hours to Miratenango and return to Antigua by shuttle 2:00 PM.
