This unique tour of its kind will allow you to explore the real Morocco, and the beauty of Marrakech and the Southeast Morocco, visiting and staying in different Kasbahs along the way will help you learn more about the region’s rich history, architecture and culture with home visits and meeting with Berbers for a better understanding and interaction. Admire crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains and ride a camel at the golden sand dunes while the Saharian sun goes down in Merzouga, visit local cooperatives to meet local women and walk through some of the stunning Palmeries of Morocco.
We pick up customers from the airport of Marrakech if they provide us with their flight details.
Arrival transfer from Marrakech airport to our Riad in the heart of Marrakech Medina where you will meet your Tour Guide for the pre-departure meeting then dinner. D
After breakfast we’ll leave Marrakech towards Ouarzazate enjoying scenic road through the high Atlas Mountains with its famous pass (Tizi N’Tichka 2260m) and many Berber villages. Along the drive there will be photo stops and a mint tea break. After lunch in Ouarzazate, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the best architecture buildings of the area, it was built in the 19th century and reached the height of importance during the 1930s when El Glaoui power was at its peak, we’ll then continue to Skoura Oasis where we will visit the Amridil Kasbah. This beautiful building will take you back in time through its history. The architecture is stunning and it has been kept up over the centuries. After that we will get to our kasbah for overnight, you can relax by the pool or (if time allows it) enjoy one of our activities: cycling, donkey ride… (B, L, D)
Today we will have an amazing drive through the Roses valley to get to the stunning Todgha valley where our lunch will be at one of the local restaurants in an old Berber village. After lunch we will explore the Todra Gorges, these 300m high cliffs towering above us are one of the highest and most beautiful Gorges in Morocco. We can try the main activity in the Area offered to Tourists: rock climbing or enjoy some free time at the Gorge, we’ll then continue to Tinjdad town, our accommodation for the night will be at the heart of the Berber village of Lkhorbate, we will visit the local museum for more understanding of the local history, architecture and culture. This Morning we will head the road to Rissani for Lunch before we make ourselves ready for a lifetime experience in the majestic sand dunes of Erg Chebi. Whilst we have some mint tea, our camel team will make our caravan ready for an amazing camel ride on the golden dunes, reaching some of the highest sand dunes, it will be time to walk up one of them to watch sunset and enjoy the quietness of the Desert. After a Berber dinner, admire traditional music around the campfire preformed by the locals before a magical night under the stars. (B, L, D)
It is time to bid a farewell to Sahara Desert and Camels, we will make our way the desertic plateaux of Alnif and Tazarine, with pits tops on the way. At our arrival to N'kob we will have lunch then some time to relax ( and swim in worm months), then we will go for an easy walk through the local Oasis and the old village, we will have a chance to visit a local house and have some tea with a local family then back to our Kasbah for dinner and Overnight. Our journey today will take us the famous Ait benhaddou village. Ait Benhaddou was once an important stop for the caravans between Marrakech and Tombouctou. It is one of the UNESCO heritage sites of Morocco since 1987 and it has been a home for a lot of international movies such as Gladiators, Prince of Persia, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones… We will explore the village walking through its alleyways with souvenir shops to reach the fortified house on top of the hill used for a long time as a collective stores for valuable belongings of the village’s inhabitant to be safe. After breakfast, we will drive passing the village of Telouet where ruined Kasbah El Glaoui sits, once home to the Pasha El Glaoui, the Kasbah has a rich history that is intertwined with the French and is located in a fertile valley surrounded by fig and olive trees. We will stop for a visit; then cross the high Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, the afternoon will be spent at leisure. Overnight in Marrakech. (B, L)
It’s time to discover Marrakech. Our half day-guided tour takes us through some of the main historical monuments of Morocco’s most famous imperial city. From the Koutoubia mosque to Bahia Palace via the vibrant Jamaa Lafna Square with its snake charmers, acrobats and storytellers, we’ll travel back in time to explore the richness of Marrakech history. In the afternoon, the best way to finish your experience in Morocco is a relaxing massage in a traditional Hammam. Otherwise, enjoy free time before our final dinner at Jamaa Lafna Square. (B. D)
