Lhasa Tour is a short journey to several major places of the Tibetan capital, depicting equal historical as well as cultural importance. Lhasa Tour is an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of a place submerged in the serenity of Buddhism.
This short tour of 6 days, takes you to high altitude dry land where the religion, the architecture, and the colorful culture shines very bright.
The tour takes place in some of the prominent places of Tibet, as the winter and summer palaces of successive Dalai Lamas, Potala Palace, and Norbulingka Palace respectively. Museums and streets gather the knowledge of Lhasa people. You can see the largest river in Tibet, Yarlung Tsangpo, along with the Lhasa River.

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa You will board a scenic flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu. Enjoying the views of Nepal and Tibet Himalayas, you arrive in Gonggar Airport in Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Our local representative will receive you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa.
Day 2: Lhasa Tour-Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street This day, you will be visiting Potala Palace, which is also known as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama. This palace is the most recognized and visited landmark in Lhasa. Then, you head to Jokhang Temple, which was founded by the 33rd great King of Tibet, and is home to a large statue of Buddha Sakyamuni. Surrounding the temple is Barkhor Street where you can circumambulate Jokhang Temple whilst exploring the old market.

Day 4: Lhasa Tour- Ganden Monastery and Hike Around The day is dedicated to exploring Ganden Monastery and its outskirts. The picturesque Ganden Monastery is one of the great three Gelug university monasteries of Tibet and comprises of 50 halls allocated for different purposes. Ganden Monastery sits on a hill with a shape of reclining elephant and faces east towards the bare and giant Tibetan hills. You will hike around the area before calling it a day.
Day 5: Departure from Lhasa After exploring the monasteries depicting Tibetan Buddhism, we head back to Kathmandu. The flight to Kathmandu pleases you with a great view of Lhasa and the Tibetan highlands. Enjoy your free evening in Kathmandu.
Day 6: Rest/Departure from Kathmandu We bid you farewell and then take you to the airport for your further departure to your country.
