The Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, China. It is about 70 kilometers away from downtown Beijing and takes about 1.5 hours. The Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the best-preserved sections of the Ming Dynasty's ten-thousand-li Great Wall, stretching 5,400 meters. It has well preserved the original architectural style and historical traces, allowing tourists to truly experience the grandeur and magnificence of the ancient Great Wall. Meanwhile, there are relatively fewer tourists, unlike some popular scenic spots which are crowded. This allows tourists to enjoy the scenery of the Great Wall more comfortably and have a great time during their visit. After Lunch, we will visit the Ming Tombs. The Ming Tombs are located at the southern foot of Tianshou Mountain in Changping District, Beijing. They are a complex of tombs for thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty and also the best-preserved imperial tomb complex with the largest number of emperors buried in the world. There are three parts are opened to public, the Sacred Way, Changling Tomb and Dingling Tomb. The Sacred Way is the first attraction of Ming Tombs,which is a main way leading to the thirteen imperial tombs inside the scenic area. The two lines of stone lifelike sculptures (12 beasts and 6 officials) on both sides are the highlight of the Sacred Way which are quite popular with visitors. Among the Ming Tombs,Changling is the largest, earliest and most magnificent with best preserved found constructions. Dingling is the only one that the underground palace was excavated. You will visit one of them based on your interests.
After you visit the Ming Tomb, your driver and tour guide will drive you back to your location in Beijing.
