First we visit a traditional produce market servicing local villages. After that we continue our journey to experience historic sites in Gianyar, including the Gunung Kawi temple. Located close to the rice fields, and situated on the edge of a cliff, as well as a visit to the Tirta Empul Holly Water Temple. Here we can watch the Hindu Melukat procession (purifying bath). From there, we drive north to take in very beautiful views around Lake and Mount Batur. From there we invite you to enter the village of Tegalalang: a picturesque village featuring beautiful Rice Terrace.

    This temple has large old carvings in its cliffs, and a location in beautiful rice terraces. These beautiful temples are some of the most fascinating in Bali. Built in the late 11th century, Carved into the rocks and bleached by time, they offer a glimpse into another era. Situated by the Pakerisan River and carved into the mountain, these impressive temples are still used as a place of Hindu worship.

    Tirta Empul Temple is built around the sacred spring at Tampak Siring. The holy spring which bubbles up in the inner courtyard of the Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring is believed to have magic curative powers, and throngs of people visit the special bathing pools where clear cool water spouts from mossy walls. For more than a thousand years, Balinese worshipers have been drawn to Tirta Empul Temple whose sacred spring is said to have been created by God Indra and to have curative properties.

    The area of north-eastern Bali at the Mount Batur caldera, and which encompasses Penelokan, Toya Bungkah, Batur, Kedisan, Abung, Songan and Kintamani villages, is known widely as just Kintamani. Kintamani, Batur and Penelokan villages sit on the rim of the huge Batur caldera about 1,500m above sea level, and offer dramatic views of the active volcano Mount Batur and serene Lake Batur. At this area, we also stop for a selected restaurant where you may enjoy your meal while you are overlooking the view of mount and lake Batur.

    Rice Field in Ubud at Tegalalang is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. This view alone has an outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice terraces on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos.
