Everest Base Camp Trek is a popular trek in the Everest region of Nepal that takes you to the base camp of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Everest Base Camp Trek starts in the town of Lukla, where you will fly in from Kathmandu, and take you through the beautiful villages of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche.     Arrival to Hotel and Transfer to the Hotel

    Tribhuvan International Airport

    Our representative will greet you at the international airport and take you to the hotel where you will be staying overnight. Our representative will give briefing of the tour. You will be left at hotel in Thamel. You can visit the local restaurants and bars around Thamel which is actually quite dazzling and beautiful. Or You can walk for about 15 minutes and visit one of the oldest market of Nepal known by the name of Ason.

    Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and trekking preparation

    Swaymbhunath

    During sightseeing visit Soyambhunath-The Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath-The crematory place, Boudhanath- Buddhist monastery and Kathmandu Durbar Square-ancient palace place. All of the four places are the gems of the City of the Temples.

    Flight to Lukla (45 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2,652m. /4-5 hours trekking/ 8km approx.)

    Lukla

    With an early morning flight, you will fly to Lukla airport (one of the exciting airport in the world). In Lukla, you will be meeting your trekking team (Sherpas and Porters) then you will start your trek. The way to Phakding is easy, which combines the up hills and the down hills. The route follows the Dudh Koshi River side and crosses several small local settlements. The Mani walls, some waterfalls and the local villages plus the people are the attractions of the day. The teahouse in Phakding are well equipped with electricity, wifi and other facilities

    Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m. /5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.).

    Namche Bazaar

    After the hot breakfast, you will then resume your trekking. The way up to Namche Bazar is mostly uphill. This day is one of the longest day of the trek where you will again follow the Dudh Koshi River and cross the several hanging bridges. On the clear day, you will be offered with the first view of Mount Everest. Namche Bazar is the last trading center of the trek. Namche Bazar is a wonderful settlement and is the home of Sherpa people. Sherpa people are known as the mountaineers. The Namche Bazar looks amazing itself and the views of Twache Peak add the beauty on Namche Bazar. The teahouses here are also well equipped. The wifi, electricity, the hot shower and the bottled water is easily available in Namche Bazar

    Hike up to Syanboche and explore Sherpa capital.

    After the breakfast, you will hike up to Syanboche, the Everest View Point. From there you can collect the superb views of Himalayas and that includes daring Mount Everest too. Enjoy the stunning views of mountains . Later, you will trek back to Namche Bazar for the lunch. After the lunch, you can either explore the wonderful settlement and visit the Sherpa museum or can take a good rest in the teahouse. In Namche, you can also buy the gears or the stuff you have forgotten to take from Kathmandu.

    Trek to Tengboche (3870m./5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.).

    Tengboche

    The trail from Namche Bazar to Tengboche is mostly flat and a combination of short down and uphill. It is expected to have the sighting of Lhophoprous (The National Bird of Nepal). Along the way you will pass the years old Buddhist Monasteries. The views of the stunning of Mount Ama Dablam will keep amazed you. The up you go the Himalaya looks closer and closer. All the way, there will so many fellow travelers and also the mules and the yaks are the friends of the trekking. Upon your arrival in Tengboche, you will be welcomed with the superb views of Mountains. On the far, Mount Everest, on the right Ama Dablam and on the other side several other peaks. The views from the hill is something spectacular. Later, in the afternoon, you can visit the Tengboche Monastery, which is one of the oldest and biggest Buddhist Monastery in Everest Region. You can also taste the bakeries in the bakery shop at Tengboche. In the evening, enjoy the stunning sunset views in the Himalayas.

    Trek to Dingboche (4360m./5-6 hours trekking/ 8km approx.)

    Dingboche

    Get up early morning, grab your camera and run out of the hotel before the first ray of the sun hits Mount Everest. The sunrise view in the Himalayas is always fantastic and it gets even exciting when it comes to Mount Everest. Enjoy the stunning view of sunrise in Himalayas. The weather condition in the morning will be bit chill so make sure that you hands and all the body is covered with warm clothes. After that, take your breakfast and start your trekking to Dingboche. Along the way, it is expected to see the Himalayan Musk Deer (One of the endangered species in the world) and sometime if you are lucky then there is chances to see the Snow Leopard as well. The trail to Dingboche is a combination of downhill and the uphills. Dingboche is a village settled in the lap of Mount Ama Dablam. From Dingboche, the weather, may get even more cold, so we always recommend to wear the warm clothes. In Dingboche there is no proper mobile network is available so if you want to use the wifi then you can us Everest Link Data Card there.     Hike up to Nagarjun Hill and Explore Dingboche village.

    Expect an amazing scene in the morning as you can find the running water freeze and reserved water converted into 3/4 inches thick ice in the drum and no running water in the tap. That is normal at Dingboche. After the breakfast, you can hike up to Nagarjun hills. From the top of the Nagarjun hills, you can enjoy the stunning views of mountains and the eagle eye view of Dingboche Village. One mountain that looks nearer and wonderful from Nagarjun Hill is Mount Ama Dablam. In Nagarjun Hills, you can also get the mobile network. After the successful ascent and the amazing views, you will then trek back to Dingboche for the rest. After the lunch, you can further explore Dingboche village or can take a good rest in the teahouse

    Trek to Lobuche (4940m./ 5-6 hours trekking/ 7km approx.)

    An easy trekking day, the trail from Dingboche to Lobuche is mostly flat and easy. Trekking through the barren land collecting the wonderful views of mountains is fantastic. On the both sides , you can see the yaks grazing. Along the way, you can also find the temporary settlement, which is set up for the yaks. Walking through the Khumbu Glacier Moraine gives you an amazing feeling and the Mani walls, the hanging prayer flags add all the fun and the excitement in the trekking. In Lobuche, you may start feeling the thin air, the sleeping might get uneasy at Lobuche. If there is any problem with you then always communicate with your guide. There is no proper mobile network so you are recommended to buy the Everest Link Data Card for the emergencies.

    Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m.)- Everest Base Camp (5364m.) and trek back to Gorakshep (7-8 hours trekking. / 15km approx)

    Wake up early morning and prepare yourself for the ultimate journey. The route from Lobuche to Gorakshep then to Everest Base Camp is mostly flat and easy. You will first trek to Gorakshep from Lobuche for the lunch. After the lunch, you will then trek to Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep. The trail from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp is moraine path so you are suggested to trek slowly and carefully so that you can complete your journey successfully. After the successful trek, you will then again come back to Gorakshep for the overnight. In Gorakshep, there will mobile network is available but it is again suggested to buy Everest Link Data Card for the emergencies.

    Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and trek to Pheriche (4280m./ 6-7 hours trek/ 15km trekking)

    Kala Pattar

    Wake up early morning, take your torch light and start you hike up to Kalapatthar. You need to start early morning today as you are going to Kalapatthar to collect the sunrise view in Mount Everest. It will be around two hours hiking to Kalapatthar. From Kalapatthar, you can see the stunning moment of sun hitting the top of the world. After the wonderful sunrise view, you will then trek back to Gorakshep and then further trek to Pheriche via Thukla. The trek to Pheriche is easy down hill via Lobuche village. There is again no proper mobile network in Pheriche so you can again go with the Everest Link Data Card to get connected to the world

    The trail we travel got many ups and downs. Our path also covers the rhododendron and juniper forest. The wonderful mountain views accompany us all the way back to Namche Bazar.
