The Literal meaning of Pumori is “Unmarried Daughter or the Mountain daughter ” in Sherpa language , was named by Gorge Mallory. Mr. Gerhard Lenser was the first person to reach the summit in 1962 as a part of a German/Swiss team. Pumori is a beautiful pyramid shaped peak bestride in Nepal & Tibet Border in the Mahalangur section of the Himalaya. 7,161 m (23,494 ft) is the elevation of Mt Pumori Alp.Mount Pumori is technically challenging mountain offering sections of wild exposure. We arrange both the logistic support and guided climbing for Mount Pumori expedition.
The climber should have previous mountaineering experience and with excellent physical fitness level. Mount Pumori Expedition is rewarded with enchanting photographic views of snowy mountains including Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse. Mt. Pumori dominates the skyline behind Kalapatther 5643m, which looks like a clump of rock on Pumori Southwest ridge. It also famous as the training peak before climbing Mount Everest.

What to expect

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotels.
Day 02-03 : Kathmandu Sightseeing and preparation for Mt. Pumori Expeditions.
Day 04: Scenic flight to Lukla (45 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2,652m. /4-5 hours trekking / 8km approx.)
Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.
Day 06: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
Day 07: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m - 05 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m - 05 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m climb Kalapathar and walk to Pumori BC 5,400 m.
Day 11 -12: At base camp acclimatization and preparations.
Day 13-24: (12 days) Ascent of Mount Pumori and withdrawal to Base Camp.
Day 25-26: At Base Camp to get organized for the climb.
Day 27: Trek to Pangboche 3,900 m - 06 hrs.
Day 28: Trek to Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs.
Day 29: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.
Day 30: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 31-32: Reserve Day
Day 33: Departure Day
