Husband and wife duo, Mervyn and Rangimarie, can’t wait to welcome you to their home in New Zealand’s most northern city, Whangārei. Come and immerse your mind, body and soul on your journey of discovery. This is one of those experiences that truly connects you to the land and its people.
Food means so much to us, so it is only fitting that we will end our time together with a shared lunch of our favourite kiwi kai - fresh locally cooked fish n chips, to cement our connection and time together. (dietary requests are welcome)

You will receive your call of welcome as you begin your journey of discovery with us. A whakatau – an informal welcoming ceremony will commence and connect us for the start of our journey together

Be immersed in the realm of our beautiful native forest that will reveal some of our living ancestors, the magnificent Kauri Trees. You will be in awe of such greatness when you hear their history and the stories that connect us.

You will see and hear why this mountain was the biggest Māori Pa site in New Zealand during it's day. Amazing views over Whangarei City and harbour as the storyteller takes you on another journey of discovery. Due to cyclone damage, the road to this site could be closed.
