This day is open for enjoying one or more of the lodge’s optional tours. Nature lovers may want to start with a daybreak birdwatching tour before breakfast. Though there are nearly 30 rainforest waterfalls around the reserve, only four are accessible to guests. With your guide, you can choose which waterfall trail to explore. Water is essential to life in nature, and there’s nothing like a refreshing dip at the end of a hike. Opt 1: RUMI YAKU waterfall with a primary rainforest hike, combining a paddle canoe excursion to observe wildlife and visit Monkeys Beach. Opt 2: Adventure to the RAYUCOCHA Waterfall, featuring a demanding hike on ancient trails leading to a hidden waterfall. Opt 3: UMBUNI waterfall, then continue to the paicawe Lagoon, and playa de monos. Opt 4: PARROTS TRAIL, small waterfall and interacting with a Kichwa family on the return journey.
