    Your tour begins with pickup from your Beijing hotel at a time of your choosing (typically 8:30am). Traveling by private vehicle, head straight to the first stop of the day - Tiananmen Square, right in the heart of Beijing. Jump out to walk around the vast public space, the largest city square in the world, with space for up to one million people. As you stroll around the grand square, learn more about its importance throughout history and hear about the many significant political events that have taken place there over the years.

    Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

    Continue on foot to the Forbidden City, once the epicenter of the Imperial City and the largest ancient palace complex in the world. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site, admiring the palatial buildings and cultural relics that date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. After visiting the Forbidden City. After visiting the Forbidden City., will drive around 30 minutes to the Hutongs.

    Lama Temple (Yonghegong)

    Then you will visit the largest lamasery in Beijing where two famous Qing emperors came from, Lama Temple. It was built in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) as the residence of the Emperor Yongzheng (the third emperor of the Qing Dynasty) before he ascended the throne. In the year 1744, the residence was completely converted into a lamasery.

    Temple of Heaven

    Visit the Temple of Heaven (built in 1420), the largest building for religious worship in China. Walk along the area and besides learning the history from your tour guide, you will also see many locals play Taichi, sign songs, or dance here.     Mutianyu Great Wall and the Summer Palace.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    Your morning begins with a hotel pickup by your tour guide and driver. You’ll travel roughly 1.5-hours until you reach the Mutianyu Great Wall of China. Choose from getting a chairlift or cable car up the wall, and then spend a couple of hours hiking in your own time. If you fancy a different way of getting down the wall, you can choose a toboggan ride (additional costs apply). Enjoy a delicious lunch at a Chinese restaurant before visiting the next stop—Summer Palace.

    Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

    You’ll see an immaculately preserved royal garden, as well as a lake, bridges, trees, temples, and historic pavilions. It’s a popular summer holiday destination for Imperial families, and between April and October, there are Dragon Boat rides available too (additional costs apply). The tour ends with a return trip back to your hotel.
