Upon your arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, a local representative of Agate Travel will warmly greet you and transfer you to the hotel in the downtown for check-in. The rest of the day is free for your own.
Today’s tour will begin with a visit to the top attractions in Old Delhi, including Swaminarayan Akshardham, the miracle of modern architecture with exquisite carvings.
After a photo stop at the splendid Red Fort, you will visit the Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), one of the largest mosques in India. Besides its beautiful designs, you will also be amazed by its enormous courtyard, which can accommodate 25,000 devotees.
For a change, an interesting rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk follows. The rickshaw tour of this 360-year-sold bazaar allows you to indulge in the local lifestyle. The various stalls selling delicious street food, clothes, and jewel compose an unforgettable scene.
Later, you will visit a UNESCO World Heritage site - Qutub Minar, a Mughal minaret built in 1192. Learning about its history from your guide, you will shock at its soaring height of 240 feet (73 meters) and the exquisite carvings on its facade.
Your next attraction Humayun's Tomb is also a famous world heritage listed by UNESCO. Here you will witness the delicate and unique structure of the first garden-tomb in India. And also admire the perfect blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture.
Next, you will have a photo opportunity at the iconic India Gate, built in memory of the Unknown Soldier. It has an impressive façade with the similar designs of the Arc de Triomphe.
Your last stop today is Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a holy Sikh house of worship. You will appreciate the white walls with the golden domes and enjoy a spiritual experience by getting close to this tolerant religion.
In the morning, you will set off to Agra by a private transfer. After 3.5 hours’ drive, arrive at Agra and your guide will assist you to check into the hotel.
You will then have a guided tour of the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah (the Baby Taj) to explore the inspiration for the Taj Mahal's design. This small but elegant tomb elegant will feast your eyes by its finely carved decoration and delicate lattice screens.
After enjoying the splendid structures, you will then have a leisurely walk in Mehtab Bagh, a tranquil garden park nearby the Yamuna River. Here you will catch a beautiful distant view of the Taj Mahal during the sunset. The spectacular comprising the orange sky, the golden river, and the splendid Taj Mahal will leave you with a pleasant evening. If there is more time, you can explore other interesting places in the city at your own pace. Wherever you want to go in downtown Agra, our driver and car will be at your service.
A morning tour of the must-see Taj Mahal will start your day. With sunrise, this architectural wonder becomes more charming and romantic. You will admire its pure white marble walls carved with exquisite patterns and learn about the moving stories between its builder - the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. After the visit, you will return to the hotel for breakfast.
Next, head west to the Agra Fort, one of the most elegant palaces of the Mughal Empire, with a history of more than 400 years.
There is no fixed sightseeing task in the afternoon, leaving you with half a day to explore downtown Agra at will. Your guide and the driver will continue to serve you, and you can visit the Old City of Agra, Gyarah Seedhi Park, or any other places you like. It’s all up to you!
After breakfast, drive your to the Fatehpur Sikri, an imperial palace of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585 and another World Heritage site in India. Your guide will lead you to visit some of the important buildings inside, including the Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Salim Chishti.
After that, continue driving to Jaipur. En route, we will make a stop at the Abhaneri Village to visit the ancient Chand Baori, which is the largest and deepest stepwell in India.
Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel first. There will be no guided tour schedule for the rest of the day and you can explore the busy Jaipur bazaar or the colorful streets to your liking and take in the local living atmosphere. Your private car with driver is free for you to use within the city.
After breakfast, you will first visit the 17th-century local famous Fort, which was once the capital of Jaipur. On your arrival, the pale yellow walls on a hill will catch your eyes. As you explore this magnificent fort, you will be surprised by the beautiful temples and palaces inside.
Driving back to Jaipur, you will first stop by the five-storey Jal Mahal to take some nice photos. Known as the Water Palace, it is located centrally on the Man Sagar Lake and has four storeys in the water, which make it look like a floating palace.
Your guided tour in Jaipur will start with the 290-year-old Maharaja City Palace. Besides the fine structures, you will have a glance at the royal lifestyle by seeing many historic collections here like ancient weapons, royal costumes, and chariots.
The next stop Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is an ancient observatory complex comprising nineteen architectural astronomical instruments, which are still operative nowadays. Here you will also see the world's largest sundial.
Lastly, you will enjoy the beautiful facade of Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. Its distinct honeycomb-shaped walls, built of pink sandstone, make it a unique scenery near the ancient street.
After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the Jaipur International Airport for your flight to Varanasi. After a 1.5-hour flight, you will arrive at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi. Your local driver in Varanasi will take you to the hotel by a private car. There is no guided tour plan for the afternoon. You can have a good rest in the hotel.
In the evening, your local guide in Varanasi will pick you up from your hotel to take you to witness the legendary and mysterious Ganga Aarti Ceremony. You would arrive early at the Dashashwamedh Ghat by the riverside, pick a good position, and wait for the ceremony to begin.
In the morning, you will set out for a boat trip along the Ganges River to see the Manikarnika Ghat and the Harishchandra Ghat from the boat. Both are holy platforms for the locals to hold cremation ceremonies.
After that, your guide will take you on a morning tour of the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Banaras Hindu University.
In the afternoon, head to the Deer Park in Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Your guide will show you around the Sarnath Buddhist Temple, Sarnath Museum (closed on Fridays), the stupas, and other ruins.
