You will experience a 1-hour train journey like a local and feel the warm and lively atmosphere in the carriage. The highlight of the journey will be the part from Mount Lavinia to Colombo when the tracks are almost parallel with the shore and you may immerse yourself in the salty sea wind and clear blue sea.
