    Your local tour guide will meet you at Beijing Airport after reclaiming your luggage and clearing customs. The driver will transport you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure.     Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

    From the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.

    You will see the Temple of Heaven with its unique architectures, where the emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.

    Hutong Tour

    Next, take a stroll through the Hutongs area, Beijing’s historical part made up by alleys lined with Chinese courtyard houses. A family visit in a courtyard house is followed. Choose one of these cultural activities to experience: calligraphy, facial painting ( derived from the Peking Opera), and paper cutting.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    This morning you will be taken to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The scenic area is equipped with cable car, toboggan, and chairlift for the needs of your family members with different physical conditions. For the seniors, the cable car is better. For adults and brave kids, thrilling toboggan will leave a long-lasting memory. A cable car up and toboggan ride are arranged today, unless you have special requirements.

    Xi'an to Chengdu by High Speed Train

    Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang)

    The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park where you can observe the daily life of the locals. You may also practice Tai Chi with the master. Tai Chi, a soft form of Chinese martial arts, is considered the quintessential Chinese culture. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Later, climb up the wall and choose to take a sightseeing battery car or bike to tour around. There are also tandems to peddle with your family.

    Around noon, explore Muslim Quarter for lunch. Enjoy all kinds of snacks and halal foods on your own. Also there are lots of handicraft souvenirs for sale.

    Chengdu Panda Keeper Program

    Dujiangyan Panda Base

    Today is going to be an unforgettable day for you to join the volunteer activities and interact with the pandas closely. Your guide will be waiting at the hotel lobby at 7 am., then drive for about 1.5 hours to Dujiangyan Panda Base. Upon arrival, make sure to register first. Afterward, you can clean the panda house, make cakes for pandas, and feed the pandas under the panda keepers' guidance. At noon, enjoy a simple Chinese-flavor lunch in the canteen. Return to your hotel after the day's volunteer activities.

    Chengdu to Chongqing by High Speed Train

    This morning, your guide will take you to a local vegetable market to experience the bustling vibe of local daily life. Then, head to the closest Giant Panda Post Office, a unique feature of Chengdu that cannot be found in other cities. Afterwards, take a stroll along the Chunxi Road, which features a giant climbing giant panda sculpture, as a great companion in your photos.

    The ship will sail through the famous Three Gorges, whose spectacular views were often sung by poets in ancient times. An hour before lunch time, pass the magnificent Qutang Gorge; one and a half hour later, the picturesque Wu Gorge. You will also take a 2.5-hour side trip along the Shennv Stream later, where you can enjoy close-up pristine mountain scenery and experience tribal cultures.
