Welcome to join this 9-day Mongolia tour, during which you can not only appreciate the beautiful natural scenery, admire historical heritages, but also enjoy horse trek and visit local herdsmen’s camps. Upon your arrival at the Ulaanbaatar airport, our driver will greet you timely and escort you to check in the hotel in downtown.
After breakfast, your guide and the driver will accompany you on a 6-hour drive to Chinggis City. En route, stop by the Genghis Khan Statue Complex to admire the 40-meter (131-foot) tall statue of Genghis Khan on horseback. Then, ascend to the viewing platform above the horse’s head for a broad view of the boundless grassland.
Continue our drive to Chinggis City. After checking into the hotel, follow your guide on a brief city tour. We’ll visit the Chinggis Khaan Central Square, where the Genghis Khan statue faces southwest, the direction in which he expanded his realm! Take a leisurely stroll along the winding Kherlen River. At last, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.
Today's trip will begin with a visit to Dadal Village. It will take about 6.5 hours to drive there. When arriving in the afternoon, the guide will escort you to stroll around the village to enjoy its charming rural landscape, consisting of dark pine forests, clear rivers and lakes, and later reside in a ger camp.
After breakfast, let’s head to Deluun Boldog, a historic site situated near the border. With the Onon and Balj Rivers meandering through, this secluded rural attraction is home to lush meadows, rounded hills, shallow valleys, and a plethora of wild animals. In addition, there is a huge ovoo, a sacred stone mound for worship. Then, visit the nearby Khajuu Springs, said to be Genghis Khan’s first purification ritual site, and a local Mongolian hunter's ger museum.
This afternoon, we will set off for Binder Village with beautiful natural scenery. On arrival, explore the village and then stay overnight at a ger camp in the nearby Kurkh River Valley.
After breakfast, your guide and the driver will accompany you to discover Rashaan Had Rock, which boasts numerous rock carvings of animals and inscriptions from the Paleolithic through the Bronze and Iron Ages. Then, proceed to the Deer Monuments to see the enigmatic standing stones with reindeer engravings. We’ll also stop by Binder Ovoo, a sacred shamanism site used for worshipping local spirits. Our last stop this morning is Ancestor's Wall, aka Uglugchin Kherem.
Let’s tick off Baldan Bereeven Monastery on our list in the afternoon. As the local center of Gelugpa Buddhism, it once housed thousands of monks in the mid-17th century. Afterward, follow your guide to visit a native nomadic family! Tonight, rest at the host’s ger camp.
Today we will depart for the beautiful Blue Lake at around 10:00am. As a highlight of this Mongolia tour, it is not only a scenic place surrounded by verdant forests and teeming with various species of flora and fauna, but also one of the most important historical places in Mongolian history, for it is the place where Temuujin was enthroned and titled as "Genghis Khan" in 1189.
After lunch, we will take the car for around 3 hours to Gun Galuut Natural Reserve - the harmonious complex of high mountains, steppes, grasslands, rivers, lakes and wetlands.
Today, let’s answer the call of Terelj National Park. As soon as we reach the park, you’ll behold the giant Turtle Rock from afar, a 24-meter (75-foot) high icon. Afterward, visit the serene Ariyabal Meditation Temple on the hillside, surrounded by pine forests and offering a panoramic view of the whole park. Besides, you can enjoy a horse trek in the vast park on your own if you like. In addition to natural marvels, you can also visit a nomadic family. After the visit, your guide and the driver will escort you to your ger camp.
After breakfast, drive 2 hours to return back to Ulaanbaatar and visit Zaisan Memorial Hill. The hill was built in memory of the allied Mongolian and Soviet soldiers died in the Second World War. On the top of the memorial hill, you can overlook the surrounding mountain landscape and the entire city.
After lunch, proceed to visit Genghis Khan's Square located at the city center. After the visit, you will be given some free time to stroll around or buy some souvenirs for families and friends. If needed, feel free to ask for suggestions from the guide. Then, we’ll leave you some free time to explore the city at your own pace. At the scheduled time, your guide will accompany you to a farewell dinner along with amazing music and dance shows. At last, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.
