Today, based on your flight schedule, our guide and the driver will be waiting to welcome you at the airport and whisk you away to the hotel in a private car. Once settled, you can spend the remainder of the day on tour own.
Today, we will firstly visit the UNESCO-listed site, Parthian Fortresses of Nisa.
Next, we’ll proceed to the National History Museum, home to over 40 ivory rhytons unearthed from Nisa.
After that, marvel at the world’s largest indoor Ferris Wheel at Alem Center, and then you’ll ascend to the Wedding Palace Viewpoint to appreciate panoramic views of Ashgabat.
Afterwards, tour the Halk Earthquake Monument at Hakydasy Memorial Complex. It was built in memory of the dead during the 1948 Ashgabat Earthquake which almost destroyed the entire city.
Then stroll around Independence Park and view the Arch of Neutrality.
From here, we’ll head to the Ertugrul Gazi Mosque. This architectural marvel boasts white marble splendor with four soaring minarets surrounding a majestic dome. Finally, the guide and driver will whisk you away to the hotel.
Fly to the city of Dashoguz with our guide. It will take about 50 minutes.
Upon arrival, let’s head to Kunya Urgench, also called Gurganj. Today, the site features remnants of Silk Road caravansaries, mosques, minarets, and mausoleums from various periods. Among these, Kyrk Molla is one of the oldest monuments, dating back to the first century BC. The most splendid structure left by the Mongols is the best-preserved Turabek Khanum Mausoleum.
When the visit is over, take the flight from Dashoguz back to Ashgabat.
Today we will proceed to the city of Mary by flight.
Upon arrival, we will visit UNESCO archaeological site called Merv, the oldest and best-preserved Silk Road city in Central Asia. Ancient Merv was also the center for cultural, economic and political interchange of the region. There are a serious of adjacent walled cities on site and its remains from the Bronze Age to post-medieval period span 4,000 years of human history. Today our professional guide will lead you to explore these remarkable architectural remains. Then have an in-depth visit to the History Museum of Merv Region, appreciate excavated artifacts and have a better understanding of the civilization.
After the side trip, fly back to Ashgabat.
