Pick you up on time when your flights arrive at the airport in Beijing.
Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide.
This morning, your tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and take you to visit Tiananmen Square. You will see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.
From Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch (valued at CNY150 per person and included in our price) will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.
In the afternoon, visit the Yonghe Temple, a solemn imperial lamasery that has survived over 300 years intact and features a blend of Han, Mongolian, and Tibetan architecture.
You will see the Temple of Heaven with its unique architectures, where the emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.
This morning you will be taken to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car will be arranged. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. Lunch is on your own and your guide will gladly assist.
Then drive by the Olympic National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest. You will see its unique appearance and take nice photos at a distance.
Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys and have a chance to visit a local family.
Visit the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.
In the afternoon, you will experience a 5-hour high speed train to Xi'an. Your local guide and driver will meet you at Xi'an North Railway Station and drive you to check in at the hotel.
The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day's trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Lunch is on your own, but your guide will recommend restaurants around the site according to your preference. Afterwards, take a family visit to the home of the first discoverer of the Terracotta Army. And then make a mini clay warrior by yourself with the help of a local artisan.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India.
Next, have some free time at the nearby Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City, a cult pedestrian street for locals and tourists alike to encounter cultural phenomena, like the spectacle of passers-by dressed in traditional Chinese clothes.
The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).
Next, you will visit the Great Mosque, a remarkable Islamic cultural relic, which perfectly combines Chinese traditional with Islamic architectural styles.
Around the mosque is a lively Muslim bazaar, where you could explore for local snacks and handicrafts.
Afterwards, you will be taken to the airport for a flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will greet you at the airport and take you to check in at the hotel.
This morning, Your local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will visit one of the four largest museums in China, the Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting artworks from ancient times.
After that, explore Yu Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Around noon, an a la carte farewell lunch (valued at CNY150 per person and included in our price) will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.
Take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River - the mother river of Shanghai. As the symbol and a microcosm of the city, the river has witnessed the glory, humiliation, despair, and prosperity of Shanghai.
Have some free time in the Bund area. Upon returning to the hotel, your guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.
The last stop is a traditional street named Tianzifang, where is full of a sense of culture and arts.
After breakfast at the hotel, your private guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport on time. We wish you have a pleasant journey home.
