We will pick you up and see you off at the Siem Reap Airport.
Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, your guide will greet you outside the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. A private transfer will take you to your hotel. Have a nice break.
Your guide will show you around the Angkor National Museum to learn about the Khmer culture in different periods and lay the foundations for the trip. From the collections, you will have a basic understanding of the Hindu temples, Buddhist temples, religious history stories, as well as the Angkor art.
Getting up earlier this morning since you will be escorted to the Angkor Wat to appreciate the breathtaking sunrise view. Your guide will find you the best place for sightseeing and shooting this grand scene. Later, you will be transferred back to the hotel for breakfast, or you may choose to get breakfast takeout and enjoy a morning picnic at the site. As you explore this temple, your guide will narrate the stories of this monument and show you the nice places for taking photos.
Then, you will be guided to the Angkor Thom, the "great city" of the Khmer Empire as well as its last city. You will focus on visiting the Bayon Temple, the Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King to explore the past glory of the Khmer kingdoms.
Next, your guide will show you around the Ta Prohm, where the famous movie - Tomb Raider was shot. The ancient temple ruins, carved with religious patterns, are covered with enormous tree roots. Together they form a marvelous and mysterious scenery. Your visit here will be a lifetime experience.
Afterward, you will head to Phnom Bakheng, which is located atop a hill and offers a distant view of various ancient temples in this area. This 9th-century temple itself also features some intricately-carved structures. Finishing the visits, you will be taken to enjoy the Apsara Dinner Show to round off today's trip.
In the morning, your guided tour will first start at Preah Khan, which is also known as the Sacred Sword. Built in the 12th century, it was one of the largest temples built by the Khmer kingdom and was once the royal residence. You will wonder at the vivid bas-reliefs and beautiful pillars.
The next stop is the 10th-century Banteay Srei Temple, an elegant Hindu temple featuring delicate carvings and sculptures portraying the vivid figures of deities. En route, you will stop to visit a local village to get a glimpse of a different lifestyle.
After having lunch, we will drive you for about one hour to an off-the-beaten site, Beng Mealea, a green kingdom lost in the primeval jungle as well as a paradise for photographers. Built from late 11th century to early 12th century during the period of Suryavarman II, this Hindu temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva and was the first temple in Angkor complex built entirely of sand and stone.
Please check out of the hotel this morning. Your guide and driver will come to meet you and then transfer you for about 40 minutes to the Tonle Sap Lake, where you will take a boat trip to explore the floating villages. Your guide will narrate the history of these villages and tell you more about the people's life there.
Afterwards, you will be escorted to the airport for your departure flight. Wish you a pleasant outbound journey!
