Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival, our guide will greet you in the arrival hall of your landing airport. You will then be escorted to the hotel in downtown Bangkok in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. With no traffic delays, we’ll get there in 30-40 minutes. On the way, our guide will provide a brief introduction to Thailand, offering you a glimpse into this vibrant country.
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will collect you and a private transfer take you to the magnificent Wat Traimit with its gem, the great Buddha statue. The Buddha measures 5 meters in height and weighing 5.5 tons made of pure gold.
The next destination is Wat Pho (Wat Phra Chetuphon), one of the notable temple complexes in Bangkok and famed for its giant reclining Buddha with the long of 46 meters and covered in gold leaf.
Proceed to visit Bangkok's landmark palace, the Grand Palace. It is a temple complex built as a dwelling for royals. Now it receives travelers from all over the world only closed for some special occasions.
Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is well-preserved at one of the sensational temples in the palace complex.
In the afternoon, the tour continues with a cruise ride along the Chao Phraya, Bangkok's 'River of Kings'. When you pass through the criss-cross small canals, you will get a good break away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The day trip completes at the stunning riverside Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn with its characteristic 79-meter-high Angkorian-style pagoda.
After breakfast, you will venture outside of the metropolis to the storied city of Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam for more than 400 years. It will be a great day that you got change from hustle and bustle of the Bangkok city. On the way to Ayutthaya trip from Bangkok, first stop at the Bang-pa-in Summer Palace with buildings in Thai, Chinese and European style.
Visit the gothic inspired Wat Niwet Thammaprawat.
At noon, we will have a Thai lunch at a local specialty restaurant. In the afternoon, continue our tour of Ayutthaya by heading north along the Chao Phraya River. After a half-hour drive, we will arrive at Wat Mahathat, where the iconic symbol of Ayutthaya awaits. A head of Buddha appears here in an incredible way because it is wrapped in the root of a Bodhi tree! According to the legend, this head rolled to the tree’s base after being severed during a war. Over centuries, nature has embraced and protected the head, creating such a breathtaking sight that is considered a lucky Buddhist symbol.
In the late afternoon, we will leave Ayutthaya. Our guide and the driver will take you to Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok for your 1.5-hour flight to Chiang Rai. After arrival, you’ll be escorted to our well-selected hotel in Chiang Rai.
It is time to appreciate the intimate beauty of Northern Thailand's landscape. You will first come to Mae Salong, where you could find fascinating tea plantation and breathtaking scenery. Drive around Mae Salong on the off beaten path and be refreshed by the fresh mountain air.
Later, get to Mae Sai for the market on the Thai-Burmese border.
After lunch, continue your exploration of Chiang Rai with a visit to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand meet.
Land Chiang Saen, the last remains of an ancient kingdom along the mighty Mekong River, on the precipitous banks for visiting its ruins and remains. At last, your guide will escort you back to the hotel.
Enjoy breakfast leisurely and then weave into the wooded valley towards Chiang Mai. En route, have a stop at the highlight temple of the area, Wat Rong Khun, frequently referred to as the White Temple that unconventionally with pure white clays and mirrors decorated for its buildings.
The tour continues to Mae Kajan hot spring, a good spot to have a short rest.
In the afternoon, head for our destination, Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, we’ll visit Wat Jed Yod, a temple with a history of over 500 years. The main stupa features seven spires, symbolizing the seven weeks that Buddha spent meditating after his Enlightenment.
The next stop is Wat Suan Dok, where more than 100 white pagodas scattered within it will catch your eyes. They served as the mausoleums of the Chiang Mai royal family. Finally, we will arrive at a selected hotel in Chiang Mai, where you will spend two nights. Have a good rest or walk around the neighborhood by yourself.
Today’s guided tour will begin at Warorot Market, a bustling indoor market rich in Chinese elements due to over a century of trade by the Chinese community. As you step inside, the first floor undoubtedly show the pulse of this market. Vendors call out to passersby, trying to catch their attention to the dried fruits, spices, candies and other unique souvenirs. Don’t hesitate to wander from stall to stall, because tasting samples are encouraged here! Savor a cup of local lemongrass tea here if interested. Tip: When buying packaged products, gauge their weight in your hands first to avoid scams as some retailers may add desiccant to increase the weight. Bulk items weighed on-site are much better.
★ Exclusive Experience-Take a Rickshaw Ride: Next, take our specially arranged rickshaw to glimpse the ancient streets of Chiang Mai. Witness the city come alive with those alleys and markets and absorb the carefree atmosphere. The rickshaw will drive you to the Tha Pae Gate. Flocks of pigeons live under the crimson brick walls, and why not invite the guide to record your interactions with those lovely birds?
Our next stop is the Three Kings Monument, built to honor the three most significant kings of the Lanna Kingdom (1259-1317).
After that, we’ll visit Wat Chedi Luang, appreciating its Angkor-style main stupa. There is a Monk Chat session from 9:00-17:00 every day, providing a chance to delve into their lifestyle and Buddhist belief. You may engage in a meaningful conversation with them to seek wisdom on various life topics.
Following that, the guide will lead you to a solemn shrine, Wat Phra Singh, one of the oldest and largest temples in Chiang Mai. Apart from being amazed at its specular Buddhist architecture, you’ll experience a richer cultural immersion if you happen to visit in mid-April. Locals get together here to celebrate the Songkran Festival (Water Festival) held from April 13 to 15. They exchange warm wishes for the next year by splashing water on each other. You may join it and witness captivating cultural scenes like spectacular parades of floats and traditional costume performances.
Today’s tour will end at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. At first glance, you will be struck by the 306 steps leading up to its main hall, which symbolizes the sacred journey to heaven in Buddhism. Climb the steps or take the cable car up with our all-inclusive tickets. At the back left side of the temple is an observation deck where you can enjoy a stunning sunset. Then you’ll be transferred back to the hotel.
★ Authentic Thai Food Cooking Experience Today, you’ll participate in an interesting activity – a Thai Food Cooking Class (join-in). First, our guide will lead you through the local market to get a close look at local vegetables and fruits. Then head to an organic farm where the experienced chef will show you how to identify similar ingredients and spices. Green Curry, Tom Yum Goong Soup and Mango Sticky Rice are among the 21 dishes on the class’s menu. Feel free to choose the dishes you want to cook. From chopping ingredients to making sauces, every step will be explained and demonstrated by the chef. At noon, enjoy these home-cooked meals for lunch. Don’t doubt your cooking talent, and this might be the best Thai food you have ever tasted!
In the afternoon, the guide will escort you to the airport for a 2-hour flight to Phuket. Upon arrival, a local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned car. Our carefully selected hotel is located just steps from Patong Beach, offering stunning sea views and photo backgrounds. You will be staying here for three nights.
