Your local tour guide will meet you at Beijing Airport after reclaiming your luggage and clearing customs. The driver will transport you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own.
This morning, your tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and take you to visit Tiananmen Square. You will see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.
From the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.
In the afternoon, you will have a walking tour in the hutongs. Also, visit a Beijing courtyard there and experience paper cutting, a traditional Chinese folk art. It is a kind of auspicious patterns used widely as decoration in Chinese people's daily life.
Enjoy an acrobatic show in the evening before going back to the hotel.
In the morning, drive about 1.5 hours to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. A round-trip cable car ride has been arranged for you. Chairlift for ascending and Toboggan for descending are also available. So you can enjoy a leisure hiking time on the Great Wall. To satisfy your noontime hunger, you can buy some fast food at the foot of the Wall with your guide’s help and picnic on the Wall.
In ther afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to the God of Heaven here. Also as a public for the locals, Temple of Heaven has gathered many Tai Chi enthusiasts. You can join in them and feel the magic of Tai Chi.
After seeing giant pandas in the morning, you will visit the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.
After that, transfer you to take the high speed train to Xi'an. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you at the railway station and escort you to the hotel.
The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day's trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Later, After seeing giant pandas in the morning, you will visit the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.
Then drive back to the city to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a square brick pagoda built to store Buddhism scripts brought from ancient India. Here, you will have an experience to wear the traditional clothes of Han Nationality to stroll around.
Next hang out along Grand Tang All Day Mall, a pedestrian street inspired by cultures of the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), a golden time in China’s history.
The day begins with a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try.
The Great Mosque in Xi'an is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China.
Around the mosque is the largest Moslem community and bazaar, where you will see Islamic customs, intertwining alleyways, and countless Moslem snack shops. You can explore for lunch
Then your guide will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Guilin. The guide in Guilin will be waiting for you at the airport and then escort you to the carefully-chosen hotel.
Take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. Li River is the essence of landscape in this area, especially the section from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is reputed as 'A Hundred Miles Gallery'. The cruise ship will arrive at Yangshuo in about 4.5 hours. Have lunch onboard (the cruise company serves simple Chinese box meal).
After docking at Yangshuo, you will continue to sightsee the county’s idyllic countryside by car or by bike/tandem.
In the morning, you can continue to explore the beauty of Yangshuo, or follow your guide to gain deeper insight into Chinese traditional culture by learning Chinese calligraphy or Kung Fu, which takes 45 min to 1 hour. This afternoon, go on a rafting along the Yulong River, a less spectacular yet more peaceful version of the Li River.
In the morning, drive you to visit the Silver Cave, a natural wonder formed by karst force and the largest of its kind in Guilin.
Then, your guide will escort you to the airport for the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will meet your Shanghai guide at the exit and head to the hotel then.
Today you will first go to Shanghai Museum, a treasure house of ancient China’s artworks, whose staple exhibits are bronzeware, ceramics, and calligraphic works.
Follow the guide to Yu Garden. In this classic Chinese garden, you will see about 40 ancient architectures. Enjoy a la carte lunch at noon at a local restaurant.
Next, go to the Bund to see the architecture complex in completely different western styles and take a walk along Huangpu River.
After that, enjoy a panorama of the city at Duo Yun Bookstore on the 52nd floor of Shanghai Tower.
A whole day’s free time is arranged for you to enjoy with your family the kaleidoscopic metropolis of Shanghai.
