What to expect
The highlight is trekking to the cave, which sits nearly 2,000 meters above sea level. The trek, taking 60-90 minutes, is mostly easy but includes steep sections with a 45-degree incline and rocky steps, it's an exciting and rewarding experience.
Day 1: New Delhi to Ranikhet
Pickup from New Delhi Hotel/Airport and drive 9-10 hours (370 km) in a private car to Ranikhet. Most of the journey is on a 4-lane highway, with the final 70 km through the mountains. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and overnight stay at a Ranikhet hotel.
Day 2: Ranikhet to Babaji's Cave
After breakfast, drive 62 km (2 hours) to the trailhead for Babaji's Cave. Hike 3 km to the cave, meditate, and reflect at the YSS hut. Return to the car and drive to Dwarahat, visiting Dunagiri Temple and Dwarahat temples along the way. Overnight in Ranikhet.
Day 3: Ranikhet to New Delhi
After breakfast, check out and drive back to New Delhi. En route, visit Neem Karoli Baba Ashram (1-hour stop) and enjoy lunch before reaching New Delhi. Tour ends upon arrival.
