This walking tour begins at the Alma Temple. Look for the letters "KPOF" on the top of the building, It is 1/2 block from the Colorado State Capitol. There is a paid parking lot on Sherman, between 13th and 12th, on the west side of the street. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

End point

This tour ends at the Brown Palace Hotel. You can hop on the 16th Street Free Mall shuttle, in order return to the start. It is an easy and cheap Lyft or Ubers ride back to the starting location.

    This walking tour begins at the Alma Temple. This temple has an interesting and controversial past. Built in the mid 1920s, the building remains a eerie reminder of the scandals of the past. Look for the letters, "KPOF" at the top of the building.

    This building, with it 24 karat gold top, is the crown jewel of Denver. Stand and the 1 mile above sea level marker, and soak in a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. So much history.

    This beautiful park is the focal point of Mayor Robert Speer's "City Beautiful" campaign. Completed in 1908, It is the center of state and city government.

    With over 70,000 works of art, the Denver Art museum, is the largest art museum, between Chicago and the west coast. See the "Big Sweep", otherwise known as the "Giant Dustpan and Broom".
