Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Castle are two of Bavaria's top sights, but it's not easy to arrange transport to visit them independently from Munich. On this private tour, you start with a pick-up from your Munich hotel and explore both castles in one day. Gain an insight into the life of the colorful Bavarian King Ludwig II and customize your itinerary to suit your own preferences. Once you arrive at Neuschwanstein Castle, you will first walk with your guide to the Marienbrücke, the best vantage point and also a top highlight of the castle. Afterward, you'll head to a few hidden photo spots before taking a scenic, secluded road to Linderhof, the only Ludwig Palace where every room is completed. Due to the crowds at Neuschwanstein Castle, we do not recommend visiting the interior. Take the time you would need to visit the lesser-known but probably most interesting Ludwig Palace Linderhof.
Continue on a scenic backroad, along Lake Plansee to Linderhof Palace, which is smaller than Neuschwanstein, but for what it lacks in size, it makes up for in grandeur! Linderhof Palace, the eventual result of a long period of building and rebuilding, is the only finished castle of King Ludwig II. After a day filled with spectacular Bavarian Alps scenery, world-famous King Ludwig II Castles Neuschwanstein, and Linderhof the tour will conclude with drop-off at your Innsbruck Hotel.

See highlights like the access road to the Eagle’s Nest, the original tunnel and elevator, the former conference room, the red marble fireplace given to Hitler by Mussolini, and much more.
