Enjoy a private meal and hands-on cooking lesson with a local. Friendly, curious, exuberant Maia welcomes you in her kitchen and will introduce you to her style of Vietnamese home cooking. Maia is a social butterfly who loves to share her culture and cuisine with visitors. She runs a travel agency and will offer recommendations for places to explore - and eat! - in Hanoi.

Please meet your host Maia at her restaurant in Tay Ho neighborhood of Hanoi. Unlike typical Traveling Spoon experiences, this experience takes place in a restaurant, not a home. Exact address can be found in your ticket upon booking confirmation.

What to expect

This is a unique opportunity to cook with a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Maia (or someone from her team) will teach you to prepare 2 authentic Vietnamese dishes from scratch. She will teach you to cook some of her favorite Vietnamese foods which you will later enjoy along with a few dishes that she will have prepared in advance. Your hands-on cooking lesson will last about 1.5 - 2 hours.
