Enjoy a private and authentic cooking class and meal along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Rosanna and her brother Antonio's family have been running a farm on the Amalfi Coast for four generations. Their main focus is to share traditional food and wine produced from organic ingredients grown on their farm. Their family traditions of making home-made pasta, pizza, mozzarella and wine are delightful and a wonderful way to get an inside glimpse into this Southern Italian family's way of life. Join Antonio (who will be your translator) and Rosanna in the kitchen for your cooking lesson, and as the Italians say, "mettere le mani in pasta" - put your hands in the dough!
After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare over organic wine.

What to expect

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Your host Rosanna (and Pasquale when he is available) will warmly welcome you into their family home and farm in Pianillo with a cup of coffee. Take a visit to their wine cellar to pick up a bottle of wine and explore the garden where you will pick up seasonal vegetables and herbs to use in your cooking class. Next, join Antonio (Rosanna's brother who will be your translator) and Rosanna in the kitchen for your cooking lesson, and as the Italians say, "mettere le mani in pasta" - put your hands in the dough! Rosanna will walk you through how to make two different types of fresh, hand-made pasta from scratch - typically scialatielli (Neapolitan pasta) and gnocchi alla Sorentina (pasta from potato flour). Next, learn to make sauce using farm fresh ingredients, organic vegetables and their very own organic extra virgin olive oil produced at the farm. After cooking, join Rosanna and Antonio at the table to enjoy the meal you helped prepare over organic wine.
