Johana lives in a home with a view of the mountains surrounded by a fruit and vegetable garden. She is excited to share her Puerto Rican cuisine and culture with guests from around the world. What to expect

Meet your host Johana, a warm and fun local and expert home cook at her home in Comerio, a 45-min drive south of San Juan. Sip on a refreshing drink and enjoy a Puerto Rican platter of snacks as your host shares stories about living in Puerto Rico. Next, join Johana in her beautifully designed kitchen to learn to cook and transform any dish with a unique Puerto Rican flair. During your private, hands-on Puerto Rican cooking class that lasts about 1.5 hours, learn to cook 3-4 dishes. You will also learn techniques involved in making sofrito, the foundation for most Caribbean dishes using only local ingredients. After cooking, sit down at the table (outdoors, weather permitting) to share the authentic Puerto Rican meal you helped prepare with Johana. Your menu might include dishes such as tapas de mariscos, paella criolla and many more. Your meal concludes with dessert and includes two cocktails or glasses of beer in the cost of your experience.
