Na Young is Korean-Bolivian; she started cooking as a young girl and now has a degree in gastronomy. Na Young has worked as a professional chef for over a decade around the world. She grew up in Bolivia, and in 2021, she moved to South Korea.

What to expect

Experience authentic Korean culture and cuisine in Seoul with this unique home-based cooking class. Begin your 1-hour, hands-on class with Na Young in her kitchen, where you’ll learn to prepare two traditional Korean dishes from scratch. Depending on the day, your class may include making a main dish and a side dish. After cooking, sit down to enjoy the delicious meal you helped create, accompanied by soup, kimchi, and traditional soju.

Enhance your experience with a visit to the Mangwon Market, a spacious indoor market known for fresh local produce, spicy snacks, and prepared foods. Explore the stalls with Na Young for about 30 minutes, learn about seasonal ingredients, and sample a traditional Korean snack. The market is just a 10–12 minute walk from her home, making this a convenient and immersive culinary adventure.

Although the policy for this experience is “All Sales Final,” we are happy to offer a 48-hour cancellation instead for this experience to give you added flexibility.

  • Please remember to take off your shoes before entering Na Young's home, as that is customary in South Korea. Na Young will provide some indoor sandals that you can use to walk inside the house.
