What to expect

Discover Vancouver’s Chinatown with Judy – a chef, historian, and award-winning culinary tourism expert. Begin with a 30-minute heritage tour exploring cultural landmarks, a produce shop, a tea store, and a beloved bakery, plus special access to hidden heritage buildings rarely open to the public. Then roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Vancouver cooking class at a cafe kitchen: make dumplings from scratch (knead, roll, fill, and fold) and choose to pan-fry or steam them. Create your own custom dipping sauce from up to 10 flavors and end with fresh fruit and a fortune cookie.

Prefer something different? Opt for a Cantonese cooking class where you’ll learn authentic stir-frying, steaming, or braising techniques to prepare a traditional meal. If you'd like a Cantonese cooking class, please indicate your preference in the booking form.

Judy happily accommodates dietary needs, making this private experience both cultural and delicious.
