First, you will visit the most renowned landmark of Jaipur, the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. Built in 1799, this iconic structure is famous for its distinctive honeycomb façade with hundreds of small windows, designed to allow royal women to observe street life while remaining unseen.
Next, head towards the outskirts of Jaipur to visit the Royal Gaitor Tombs, a serene and lesser-known site featuring beautifully carved marble cenotaphs dedicated to Jaipur’s former rulers, set against the scenic Aravalli Hills.
Make a short stop at Jal Mahal and enjoy a drive past this beautiful palace, which is located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake and offers a perfect photo opportunity.
Next, visit Panna Meena Stepwell, a historic stepwell known for its symmetrical stairways, geometric design, and tranquil atmosphere.
Your visit to Amer takes you through landmark spaces such as the Sheesh Mahal, known for its glittering mirror work and the famous Magic Flower carving, and Ganesh Pol, the richly decorated entrance to the royal palaces. You’ll walk through the Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas, once used for public and private audiences, and visit Sukh Niwas, where an early water-based cooling system kept the space comfortable. The journey passes the Shila Devi Temple near the entrance, opens onto the vast Jaleb Chowk, and concludes at the peaceful Mughal Garden in front of the palaces.
Now head back to the city to visit the Royal City Palace, an impressive blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, featuring grand courtyards, museums, and royal residences that offer insight into Jaipur’s royal heritage.
Just near the City Palace, visit the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring a remarkable collection of astronomical instruments used to measure time and track celestial movements.
After checkout from your hotel, drive to Agra. En route, visit the Abhaneri Stepwell and the historic city of Fatehpur Sikri. The distance from Jaipur to Agra is approximately 250 km, and the journey takes around 4–5 hours, depending on traffic.
Our first stop is Abhaneri Stepwell, also known as Chand Baori, one of the deepest and most impressive stepwells in India. Built over a thousand years ago, it is renowned for its striking geometric staircases, detailed carvings, and fascinating insight into ancient Indian water-harvesting techniques.
Located close to Chand Baori Stepwell, visit the Harshat Mata Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to the goddess of joy and happiness, admired for its intricately carved stone architecture and historical importance.
Now head to Fatehpur Sikri, located approximately 130 km from Abhaneri, to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the capital of the Mughal Empire, this abandoned city is renowned for its impressive palaces, courtyards, mosques, and remarkably well-preserved historical architecture.
After exploring Fatehpur Sikri, continue the drive to Agra, located approximately 40 km away. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel, where you can check in, relax, and enjoy an overnight stay in Agra.
Early in the morning, wake up and head out to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the soft morning light enhances its white marble and creates a truly unforgettable experience.
After exploring the Taj Mahal, return to your hotel to relax and enjoy breakfast. After check-out, proceed to visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive red sandstone architecture and rich Mughal history.
Now visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, often called the ‘Baby Taj.’ This elegant mausoleum is renowned for its delicate marble inlay work, detailed carvings, and serene riverside location, and is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
