    The Red Fort Complex was built as the palace fort of Shahjahanabad – the new capital of the fifth Mughal Emperor of India, Shah Jahan. Named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone, it is adjacent to an older fort, the Salimgarh, built by Islam Shah Suri in 1546, with which it forms the Red Fort Complex.

    Jama Masjid

    The Jama Masjid was built as a part of Shah Jahan's new capital in Delhi, Shahjahanabad. At the time of its construction, it was the largest mosque in the Indian subcontinent. The mosque was constructed in 1650–56 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahān, a noted patron of Islamic architecture whose most famous work is the Taj Mahal, in Agra.

    Later, we'll go for a rickshaw tour in Old Delhi - one of the best examples in the world where you can witness the cultural mixtures of “old and new”. Uncover the sights, scents, and the flavors of “Purani Dilli” (Old Delhi) while you are sitting comfortably and safely in your cycle rickshaw. Our major highlights would include a visit to the Fatehpuri Masjid, Chandni Chowk market (also known as Moon market), Darba Kalan, Kinari bazaar (a market, especially for wedding & traditional outfits), Khaori Baoli (Asia’s largest spice market) as well as the narrow alleys of Ballimaran. Moreover, the people and the streets here have many stories to tell you about the yesteryears of Delhi!! Day ends with a mouth watering dinner at Karim’s/similar restaurant in Old Delhi and you'll later be transferred to the Railway Station to board your overnight sleeper train down to the Ganges-Varanasi
