Morning pick up from your hotel at 9:00 AM and proceed to visit Golden Temple, The Golden Temple or "Darbar Sahib" at Amritsar is the most sacred place for the Sikhs. The Golden temple symbolizes the magnificence of the Sikhs all over the world. The Golden Temple also known as Harmandir Sahib is an example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds. In the architecture of the Golden temple are included symbols associated with places of worship of other religions. The Sikhs and people of other religions pay visit to Amritsar and to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Visit Jalian Wala Bagh, Jallianwala also spelled Jallianwalla, also called Massacre of Amritsar, incident on April 13, 1919, in which British troops fired on a large crowd of unarmed Indians in an open space known as the Jallianwala Bagh, killing several hundred people and wounding many hundreds more. It marked a turning point in India’s modern history, in that it left a permanent scar on India - British relations and was the prelude to Gandhi’s full commitment to the cause of Indian nationalism and independence from Britain. Afternoon pick up from your hotel and drive to Wagah Boarder ( 1 hour drive) to visit India - Pakistan Boarder Flag Ceremony, The purpose of Wagah Border Ceremony is to formally close the border for the night and take off the National Flag. The Flag Lowering Ceremony is done daily before sunset. However, this is an entertainment ceremony but displayed as patriotic performance every day. Return back to hotel in evening, overnight stay in Amritsar.
