Rising to an elevation of 2701 meters, Fulchoki is the highest point on the rim around the Kathmandu Valley. From on top of this local peak, you can stand in awe of the mighty Himalayas to the north. Turn North-West and gaze down into the beautiful Kathmandu Valley with its mystery of ancient temples and cities that date back to antiquity. 

The Godavari to Fulchoki Trek is an ideal, one day trip that will take you to the top of the Kathmandu Valley Rim.  It is a moderate trek that begins in the jungles that are known for a myriad of birds. The trail winds its way to the top of the peak for the most amazing panoramic view of the Himalayas.

What to expect

Reach one of the highest elevation in the Kathmandu Valley on this ultimate day hike! Your adventure begins at Godavari, famed for its lush botanical gardens, before you ascend to the 2,782m (9,127 ft) summit of Phulchowki, the "Hill of Flowers."

This 4-hour guided trek winds through a magnificent, dense jungle of rhododendron and oak. The forest is a world-renowned birdwatching paradise, home to over 300 species and a major flyway for migratory birds.

The reward for your climb is one of the most breathtaking 180-degree Himalayan panoramas in all of Nepal. You'll enjoy a well-deserved picnic lunch at the top, gazing at a stunning chain of snow-capped peaks that, on a clear day, stretches from the Annapurna range in the west to Gaurishankar and even Mount Everest in the east.
