Departure from Florence is scheduled at 8:00 AM, with a scenic 2.5-hour drive bringing you to San Marino, the ancient Republic atop Mount Titano. Your visit begins with a walk through Porta San Francesco, where you’ll meet your local guide and explore the charming historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Basilica of San Marino and Piazza della Libertà with its impressive Palazzo Pubblico.
Your tour continues to the iconic Guaita Fortress, the oldest of the three towers overlooking the Republic. If time allows, you may also reach the Cesta Tower, set at the highest point of Mount Titano. Both fortresses offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic coast and the Apennines, ideal for memorable photos.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the medieval alleys, browse artisan shops, or taste local products. Departure from San Marino is at 4:00 PM, with your return to Florence in the evening.
