This program is guided by the 19th‑generation head of the Musashi Clan, the only remaining clan that served the Tokugawa Shogunate for 265 years. This direct lineage offers guests an exceptionally rare opportunity to learn from a tradition that has been preserved and transmitted continuously since the Edo period.
As a licensed interpreter, the clan head provides real‑time interpretation and expert cultural explanations, ensuring that international guests can fully understand the meaning, symbolism, and historical context behind each practice.
This cultural experience reveals the authentic cultural heritage of samurai and ninja through traditional attire, etiquette, historical tools, and philosophical teachings. Guests gain insights normally shared only within long‑standing samurai lineages.
The program can also be customized for groups, schools, and corporate teams, with the option for our instructors and interpreter to deliver on‑site cultural training at your location.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Our dojo is on the 3rd floor of MetsHachibankan, on the Kappabashi Dogugai street. The address is 3-1-13 Matsugaya, Taito-ku. The building is 5 stored and is on the main street. There's a cafe bar named Kiraku on the 1st floor. The closest station is Asakusa Station of the Tsukuba Express Line.
What to expect
You will then explore cultural items, symbolic tools, and historical stories connected to our clan’s heritage. Guided personally by the 19th‑generation clan head, you will learn traditional etiquette and appreciation practices that reflect centuries of Japanese values. You will also practice mindful movement training designed to improve concentration, posture, and inner balance—accessible and meaningful for all ages.
The session concludes with a commemorative photo inside the dojo to capture your cultural transformation.
