    The region supports 192 distinct species of flora and 209 distinct species of fauna, including Slender Loris. Some of the identified species have been shown to be indigenous to the marsh. Birds are the dominant group of vertebrates in Muthurajawela. It consists of 102 species including one endemic. Of the total species, 19 migrants have been recorded. The mixture of vegetation types and aquatic habitats in Muthurajawela has made it an ideal eco-zone for a variety of birds.

    Evening, you will be driven to a nearby river to enjoy a romantic private cruise dinner. You will arrive and board a beautifully decorated ferry to embark on your romantic dinner. The ferry is lit with natural lanterns as you glide around 300-500 meters at a low speed along the scenic river. Surrounded by mangrove vegetation, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you are served by a personal butler, a chef, and a ferryman. You can select any of the three specially designed 4-course dinner menus with a choice of seafood, meat or Sri Lankan/Eastern specialties.     Galle Dutch Fort

    (If time permits) Galle Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1588, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work was done by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
